This website and CATALYZE's associated services, digital platforms, events, trade programmes, buyer-intelligence systems and AI-enabled services are operated by Cadivision (Pty) Ltd, trading as CATALYZE ("CATALYZE", "we", "our" or "us").
CATALYZE is committed to protecting personal information and handling it responsibly, transparently and in accordance with applicable data-protection and privacy laws.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect personal information when individuals interact with CATALYZE, including through our websites, events, trade missions, hosted-buyer programmes, business-matching services, digital platforms and the CATALYZE Buyer Intelligence Agent.

1. About CATALYZE
CATALYZE is an international trade-promotion, B2B matchmaking and event-management business.
We connect companies and business professionals through activities including exhibitions, trade missions, hosted-buyer programmes, conferences, market-access programmes and pre-arranged B2B meetings.
Data and business information are important to these activities because identifying appropriate companies and business decision-makers is fundamental to facilitating relevant commercial connections.
2. What information we collect
Depending on your relationship with CATALYZE, we may collect and process information including:
Name;
Business email address;
Business telephone number;
Job title and professional role;
Employer or company;
Company address and location;
Professional profile information;
Company website;
Business interests;
Product and purchasing interests;
Import, distribution, procurement or sourcing activities;

As part of our trade-promotion, market-research and business-matching activities, CATALYZE may research companies and business professionals using information that has been made publicly available for professional or commercial purposes.

Exhibition and conference directories;
Government and trade-promotion databases;
Public procurement information;

We use such information only where there is a legitimate business, trade-promotion, research or matchmaking purpose.
We do not intentionally use the Buyer Intelligence Agent to obtain private personal information that is not reasonably relevant to legitimate professional or commercial research.
4. CATALYZE Buyer Intelligence Agent
CATALYZE operates an AI-assisted research system known as the CATALYZE Buyer Intelligence Agent.
The Buyer Intelligence Agent assists CATALYZE with identifying, researching, verifying and qualifying prospective organisations and professional decision-makers for activities including:
Trade missions;
Hosted-buyer programmes;
Exhibitions;
B2B matchmaking programmes;
Market-access programmes;
Export-promotion initiatives;
Business delegations; and
Related commercial programmes.
The system may process information supplied by CATALYZE personnel, clients or authorised users together with publicly available professional and company information.
5. How artificial intelligence is used
CATALYZE may use artificial intelligence and automated systems to assist our staff with activities such as:
Interpreting buyer-research requests;
Identifying potentially relevant companies;
Researching company activities;
Analysing product and market relevance;
Identifying professional decision-makers;
Summarising publicly available business information;
Assessing evidence of importing, distribution, procurement or purchasing activities;
Categorising prospective buyers;
Scoring or prioritising business prospects;
Identifying missing information;
Checking research quality and completeness; and
Preparing information for human review and business-development activities.
AI-generated findings may be incomplete or incorrect. Accordingly, information produced by our systems should not automatically be regarded as independently verified fact.
Where appropriate, CATALYZE seeks to verify important business information against credible public sources.
6. CATALYZE Buyer Intelligence scoring
The Buyer Intelligence Agent may assign prospective organisations a buyer or relevance score based on business-related criteria such as:
Product relevance;
Apparent purchasing authority;
Market reach;
Evidence of importing or distribution;
Availability of appropriate professional contact information; and
Confidence in the available information.
These scores are intended to assist CATALYZE with business research and prioritisation.
They are not intended to determine an individual's eligibility for employment, credit, insurance, housing or other decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
CATALYZE may use human review when determining whether a company or professional should ultimately be approached or invited to participate in a programme.
7. Information submitted through AI services
When an authorised user submits a request through the CATALYZE Buyer Intelligence Agent, information contained in that request may be transmitted to third-party technology providers required to process the request.
Users should therefore avoid entering unnecessary sensitive or confidential personal information into the Buyer Intelligence Agent.
Research requests should ordinarily contain business information necessary to identify relevant organisations and professional contacts.
8. Technology and service providers
CATALYZE uses third-party technology and service providers to operate its websites, databases, communications systems, events and business-intelligence services.
For AI-assisted and automated buyer research, these providers may include OpenAI and n8n, together with other hosting, database, cloud, search, communications and business-information providers used by CATALYZE.
Information may therefore be processed through external technology infrastructure where necessary to provide these services.
We seek to use reputable service providers and appropriate contractual, organisational and technical safeguards where required.
Third-party services may also be subject to their own privacy and data-processing terms.
9. How and why we use personal information
We may process personal information for purposes including:
Providing CATALYZE products and services;
Responding to enquiries;
Administering customer and supplier relationships;
Organising events and trade programmes;
Registering delegates, exhibitors, speakers, sponsors and buyers;

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, CATALYZE may process personal information where:

The individual has provided consent;
Processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation;
Processing is necessary to protect vital interests; or
Another lawful basis recognised under applicable data-protection legislation applies.
As a South African organisation, CATALYZE seeks to process personal information in accordance with applicable South African data-protection requirements, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA").
Where other data-protection laws apply, including the GDPR, CATALYZE will seek to comply with the applicable requirements.
11. Event and exhibition management
Where you participate in a CATALYZE event, trade programme, exhibition, conference or business mission, we may use your personal information to administer your participation, arrange meetings, communicate programme information, manage payments where applicable and facilitate business introductions.
We may also take photographs or video recordings at events for legitimate event, archival and promotional purposes, subject to applicable law and appropriate notices.
12. Marketing and business communications
CATALYZE may use professional contact information to communicate information about relevant events, trade opportunities, products and services where permitted by applicable law.
Where consent is required, we will seek it.
Where applicable law permits communications on another lawful basis, including legitimate interests in appropriate business-to-business circumstances, we may rely upon that basis.

13. Sensitive personal information
CATALYZE does not ordinarily require sensitive personal information for buyer-intelligence research.
Where sensitive information is required for another legitimate activity — for example, health information required in connection with an event or identification information required for travel or visa administration — it will be handled with appropriate safeguards and in accordance with applicable law.
Users of CATALYZE's AI systems should not submit sensitive personal information unless specifically requested and necessary for an authorised purpose.
14. Children's information
CATALYZE's services are principally intended for businesses and business professionals.
They are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly use the Buyer Intelligence Agent to research children.
If we become aware that information relating to a child has been collected without an appropriate lawful basis, we may delete that information.
15. Sharing personal information
We may share information with service providers and partners where necessary to operate our business and deliver our services.
These may include:
IT and cloud providers;
Website and database hosting providers;
AI and automation providers;
